I named this collection 'Escapes' for the simple reason that they are pure escapism to paint.
Unharnessed from any intention, they emerge over weeks and months, until they give me that 'connection' with a the wild open landscapes I visit time and again.
Each one has their own personality and vibrance - that's what I love about them!
