How do I buy a painting?

Buying art is a special event, so I want you to be completely happy with your new painting. If you are unable to visit my studio in person, a video call can be another way of getting up close to your preferred painting.
Whilst I have taken every care to show the artwork as accurately as possible with regard to size and colour. The image you see online may show a slight difference due to variations between browsers, devices and screen settings.
A video call can often provide clarity and give you peace of mind, and we get to know each other a little too. Just let me know and I'll make the arrangements.
If you have any questions please get in touch.

How is my payment handled?
Once you have decided on the painting you wish to purchase we will agree the delivery arrangements, and payment will be taken via bank transfer in British Pounds Sterling, or via my card machine if you are able to visit the studio.
Framing
Paintings are sold as seen in the description. Cradled boards are unframed as they sit flush against the wall.
Other work on wooden panels are most often placed in wooden tray frames.

Unframed Paintings
I often leave my paintings on paper or card unframed so you can choose the colour and design, it also reduces the shipping costs. However if you're local I am happy to make recommendations and arrange framing before delivery, or leave this to you if preferred.

Paintings on card and paper are all mounted and carefully packaged for safe delivery.
There is no additional cost for UK delivery of unframed pieces.
For overseas and framed paintings I agree the delivery arrangements and costs with the collector - see shipping.
Shipping
I am relieved to say that I have a 100% successful safe delivery rate!! It is the scary bit, but working together I have always found a solution. If you are relatively local to the Midlands UK, I often deliver pieces.
Paintings are usually shipped within 5 working days. In the UK pieces are sent by Royal Mail, Parcel Force or courier depending on size and weight. Most UK deliveries arrive within 2 days from time of shipping, but please allow 7-10 working days in total. If you need your painting to be delivered by a specific date, let me know and I will do what I can to make sure it reaches you in time.
Can I collect my artwork from your studio?
Absolutely! My home is in Worcestershire UK and you are more than welcome to collect your painting from my studio at a prearranged time.

Is Shipping included?
Shipping costs contribute towards packing supplies, labour and transit fees. At the current time shipping costs are varying significantly due to so many reasons, Covid restrictions, air freight issues etc.
UK delivery for unframed paper pieces is included in the purchase price.

For all other shipping I either detail the shipping cost in the painting description or agree the amount with the buyer once I’ve obtained a shipping quote.

What about large or high value artworks?
It’s important to us both that your painting reaches you safe and sound. Shipping costs for large artworks need to be quoted individually so we will discuss specialist shipping options before the artwork is despatched.

Can you ship internationally?
Yes, I can ship to most countries, although it will take longer to arrive depending on your location. Overseas shipments (outside the UK) may be subject to import duties and taxes according to the laws of the destination country. Any additional charges are at the customer’s expense. I have no control over these charges and can not accept responsibility for additional charges.
What about the dreaded Brexit?
It’s still a mess tbh! Currently (Jan 2024) there are extra charges that will be made for EU customers. But that doesn’t mean we can’t overcome the red tape. Once we know what is going where, I will do my very best to ensure there are no surprises for you at the other end.

Returns
What if my painting arrives and I don’t like it?
I want you to be fully happy with your new artwork so I offer a Buy-Back agreement.
If an original painting is not as you expect, you have 14 days to contact me by email and request a refund. Once a return has been agreed, you are responsible for packing and arranging return delivery using the same service it was sent to you. Once the piece has been safely returned I will refund your payment within 14 days.

What if my painting arrives damaged?
All work is carefully packed and wrapped. If you receive a work that has been damaged in transit, please contact me as soon as possible within 7 days, with details and photographs. We will then work through a solution together.
What about Overseas Returns?
At this time I am unable to offer a refund or return on any product(s) sent outside of the UK.

I think that’s about it but if you have any further questions please send me an email and I will do my best to help you out.
